Work From Home Jobs

Part of what I do as an Internet marketer is provide help and advice about working online to my subscriber list. People joining my list do so because they want to make money online and are looking for help and advice about how to go about doing that.

The aim of everyone that joins me is to create a long term income online but they tend to fall into two distinct groups. Some of my subscribers have a level of income that allows them to pay their bills and get by at the moment but they want the lifestyle and potentially higher incomes that an online business can provide. Others, sadly a growing number of people, are not in that fortunate position and need to earn money now to just get by.

I’ve been doing some research on ways to earn now and this is what I’ve found so far.

The easiest and quickest way to earn immediate money is to provide a service of some sort. Here I’ve listed some options that I’ve found.

The first thing to consider when you’re looking to find work are the skills and experiences that you have that someone else would be prepared to pay for. You may have had a job in the past that has provided you with some experiences and skills that you could offer.

Do you have secretarial skills? More and more online marketers are outsourcing their work now and they are often looking for a personal assisstant (PA) to help them manage their busy life. There’s lots of scope their for you to use your skills.

If you have any computer or graphics skills, they are always in demand.

Are You A Writer?

If writing is one of the things you can offer here are some of the places that hire writers.

iwriter.com

At iWriter, you’ll be able to earn money by writing articles for other people. Anyone can register for free and start earning money immediately. You can earn up to $15.00 for every article you write. You’ll be able to select which topic(s) you would like to write about, select as many or as few articles to write each day, work at your own speed, and decide how much money you want to earn each day!

Freelancer.com

You are able to offer writing services at Freelancer but it also provides the ability for you to earn money from a range of skills, not just writing.

HireWriters.com

If English is your first language, you can join HireWriters.com for free and get access to hundreds of paid writing jobs. Clients post writing assignments and you can then accept the job and get paid when you complete it. Once you get established you can earn up to $20 per article and work and earn as much as you want. You can also do other types of work like proofreading and research and can even earn bonus payments from your clients when you do a good job. The other great news is that you get paid every week for your work.

UpWork.com

Formally known as Odesk.com, UpWork is a platform for freelancers to offer a wide range of skills and if you are a writer you will be able to find lots of opportunity here. To get started you simply sign up for an account, update your profile and you’re ready to get hired. You can get micro jobs in a wide range of areas with UpWork.com in addition to writing

OriginalArticleWriting.com

These people offer writing services but don’t have a way to sign up as a writer on their website. If you are stuck for a place to find writing work I suggest you send them a note via their contact page to ask if they have any openings.

Other Options

Fiverr.com

At Fiverr.com people offer a whole range of different services. The scope of what you can offer seems to be only limited to your imagination. It’s amazing to me what people will do for $5, the opportunities are endless. Although the minimum fee for a gig (as each job is called) is $5, as the person providing the gig you only receive $4. Fiverr keep $1 for their cut of the gig. However, after you have completed 10 gigs you move up to level 1 which allows you to add what are called ‘Gig Extras’. Basically gig extras provide a means for you to offer upsells of your gigs and make a lot more money. For example, you may offer to write a 200 word article for $5 but then add a gig extra to do 400 words for an additional $5. I believe you can offer as many gig extras as you want but I’ve certainly seen people adding up to 10 extras. Because of this fairly recent change to Fiverr people are now earning very substantial incomes on Fiverr making it a real job replacing opportunity.

TenBux.com

TenBux is identical to Fiverr.com except that gigs can be $5 or $10. These are fixed amounts so you couldn’t offer a gig for $8 for instance. If you’re interested you can read their full terms of service here.

FiverUp.com

This site works very much like Fiverr.com. You also start at level 1 but unlike Fiverr.com your job can be priced between $4 and $25. After you have completed 10 jobs on time and achieved a customer rating score of at least 90% you move up to level 2. At level 2 the job value moves up to between $4 and $50. Once you have completed 25 jobs on time and maintained your higher than 90% customer rating at level 2, you move to level 3 where your job value moves to between $4 and $100. In all cases 80% of the job value is paid into your FiverUp account. You can withdraw money from your account anytime subject to a minimum amount in there and each time you withdraw funds from your account you are charged $1.

GigBucks.com

GigBucks works almost identically to FiverUp.com except that the minimum gig value is $5 and the upper gig value is $25. They also have 3 levels which are attained in the same way as FiverUp.com. Details about the different levels are outlined here.

Zeerk.com

At Zeerk you can price jobs up to $200 from the start. There are no levels to attain to get there and they charge a commission fee of 205 like most, of not all, of the other sites do.

Tenrr.com

At Tenrr you can offer jobs at prices from $1 to $10 and any whole dollar figure in between. Unlike Fiverr and the other similar sites though, there is no commission charge with Tenrr.

Fourerr.com

This is yet another of the many micro job sites that are cropping up that offers the opportunity to earn from your skills.

If you do a Google search for micro job sites, freelance sites or ‘sites like fiverr’ you’ll get lots of results of places where you can get paid to do jobs.

If you’re a bit more adventurous or entrepreneural another option that I have used myself is Arbitrage.

Arbitrage comes in various forms. One form is where you act as the middle person between someone requiring a service and the person providing the service. Simply put you are advertising a service at a particular price and getting someone to provide that service for you at a cheaper price.

For instance, you could place an ad on craigslist.com in your area as someone who provides website banners. When someone places an order with you for a banner you could use one of the people on Fiverr.com that produce website banners to do the work for you and when complete you deliver the work to your client and collect the difference between what you are charging and what you have to pay your Fiverr worker.

The system that I followed was based on the training from Phil Henderson called Stupidly Simple Arbitrage. Phil has been very successful with this, (and now a lot of people that have purchased his system have too), and he goes into a lot of detail about how to run this type of business. He covers the type of arbitrage that I’ve outlined above, which he refers to as Digital Arbitrage and also covers buying and selling physical goods which he calls Physical Arbitrage. Both are good methods to make money as a middle person.

Finally

I’ve only been able to scratch the surface here and this post is getting quite long but I’m sure you can see that if you need a way to make money now there are lots of potential ways to get started earning very quickly.

If you have the skills yourself you can sell them via one or all of the micro job sites. For those of you that feel you don’t have any skills to sell then the arbitrage route would be an option. Obviously, you could use some or all of the methods I’ve outlined here, it’s up to you and how much time you can or want to devote to it.

The main thing with all of the methods I’ve outlined in this post is that none of them require you to spend any money upfront to make money. The arbitrage method does require you to buy the service or goods that you are selling but you only pay after you have got paid and pocketed your profit. The micro jobs require no cost at all, they are all free to join.

I hope this review of ways to make money quickly has been useful. Please leave me a comment below if you thought so and if you have any experiences of micro jobbing that you would like to share.

Until next time,

Trevor
